English Paper Piecing Kit

I hinted on Friday that I would have something exciting to show you all this week. The reason for that was I had received my package from the Missouri Star Quilt Company on Thursday afternoon and I was going to unbox the contents this weekend. I was super excited. First, let me say that seeing this on the box got my excitement up.

And then seeing this on the box made me smile. When boxes alone bring you joy because of the little things they put on them, you can imagine how much fun is going to be inside of said box.

So, I cracked it open and was greeted by a splash of color under some packing paper. Let me just say that I am always happy when companies use paper as a packing agent since it can be recycled easier than plastics.

On top were some paper pieces I had ordered.

And I also ordered a template that went with the paper pieces.

They even included a free book!

I flipped through the pages and it is full of all kinds of neat quilting ideas.

Finally, I was ready to open up the main item from the order. I had been wanting to learn how to do English Paper Piecing quilting for a while now. When I saw this kit being offered, I knew I needed to grab it. Look at how cute the bag is that everything comes in!

The inside is very tidy as well.

This kit contains everything you will need to have to make a couple of projects, with the exception of the fabric. That wasn’t a problem for me though since I have plenty of fat quarters in my stash just waiting for something to do. It contains paper pieces.

Oh, and even more paper pieces!

It comes with a plain tote bag, which is one of the projects to create a floral design and then applique it on the tote.

And lastly it has the cutest little lazy susan mat I have ever seen. This is for when you are glueing pieces down and need to rotate them easier.

I can’t wait to get started, but I have already made a rule that I can start this until I finish the sweater. I’m almost done with the first sleeve and should get that done either tonight or tomorrow, but that is a post for another day!

If you want to craft along with me in the near future, here’s the link to the kit. I am not affiliated with the company, so I don’t get anything from this. I just want to spread quilting and crafting joy when I come across something neat like this!

Stay crafty!
