Since I finished up the blue and gray travel socks, I thought it would be best to change to more summery colors. Of course this week it got cooler again, but that’s not going to put a damper on my sunshine socks!
While sitting with K during her chemo session on Friday, I finished up one of the travel socks.

Yesterday I worked a little bit while in the doctor’s waiting room for my annual physical, but it wasn’t enough to warrant a separate photo session.

So, I actually laughed out loud in the doctor’s office yesterday. This is TMI, I know, but I have a spot on my leg that showed up in January and doesn’t seem to want to go away. My doctor thinks it’s due to inflammation that came on from my December virus that wiped me out for a few weeks. So, she said I should do two things in conjunction with the ointment that I have now been prescribed. I should lower my carb intake to relieve some of the inflammation properties of sugar, and I should lower my stress levels.
That caused me to laugh. I told her I would work on the carbs. Wasn’t sure how I was going to get the stress levels down!
Last night, I actually did something that does help with stress: I wrote. I have had this idea floating around in my head for over a year now, so I decided this is the year to finally write that novel I have always wanted to do. So, I started writing and let my imagination run.
That can be a dangerous thing. But hey, at least it lowered my stress level!
Stay crafty!

Oh good for you – I’ve been thinking and thinking about starting to write, but not actually writing, which is the key part really.
