Why You Do It

Yesterday, I visited for a bit with my dad and mom at the memory center. I gave dad two of the cords that I made with the lucet. He tied knots in them and played with the cords for nearly 45 minutes straight and seemed to be enjoying them. The only thing that made him stop was dinner, and food will always win out!

It was nice to see him enjoying the cords. Sometimes it’s something so simple that can bring someone peace and comfort. That’s why we do what we do. Crafting has always been something that gives me joy and peace. It’s nice when you get to see it do the same thing for others when it’s something you made, even if it’s something as simple as a cord.
