The Weekend Roundup

Aside from going to the football game on Saturday, there was a whole lot of crafting going on in the craft room this weekend. Brian and I both worked on our diamond paintings some on Sunday and enjoyed chatting while crafting and listening to the NFL game in the background.

I pulled out a big project to work on most of the weekend though. I had bought this plywood witch decoration at Michael’s almost two months ago and I realized that October was nearly here and if I wanted her to be on display, I had better get to painting. I was able to get the big stuff done on the wood piece and now just have a few touch ups to finish and then I’ll get it sealed. I’m hoping that it’s on the porch later this week!

I also worked some on the charity project that I’ve been working on for a bit now. I have seven hats finished up and I’m in the process of making scarves to go with the hats. The charity is hoping to have 100 hats and scarves donated by the end of October to be able to give to those who need help staying warm. We have been asked to put them in a ziploc bag so that they will stay dry if outside and to include a note in each bag to encourage the recipients. I’m almost finished with the second scarf now, so just five more to go. This has been a great stash buster project and I am grateful for that!

Stay crafty!
