On Wednesday morning, I was doing my morning lap and enjoying the crisp, foggy morning when I noticed I could see a whole group of tiny, glittering spider webs. They were only a couple of inches across, but they filled in just about every other gap in the iron railing by my building. I was just struck by the beauty of the tiny masterpieces and tried my best to capture a picture of one of them. It really does not do the glittering justice.

This is just your weekly reminder to take a moment and look around you. I mean, really look. In the hustle and bustle of everyday life, we can miss these tiny moments. Take a minute and go outside if you can and just walk in God’s creation. I have found that in those still moments, I feel closer to the Creator and find myself in awe of the beauty around me. Even if you don’t believe in any kind of divine being, just being out in nature has been scientifically proven to reduce stress and anxiety and even promote healing. If you can’t get outside for some reason, at least go look out a window or find some beautiful images of trees, animals, etc. and just look at them for a few minutes to take the time to pause.
I also have an update on the gingko leaf roses. I had brought them in to work to finish drying out and to see if they held their color before grabbing a bunch more on Friday to make a centerpiece for our Thanksgiving meal. Less than a week later, they are fully dry, and they held most of their color!

I also have been working on the work sock while at lunch. It’s humming along as well.

And finally, Regina would like everyone to know that she loves Brian. She puts her paw on his hand to make sure he knows. And she also glares at me when I try to take her picture.

Stay crafty!
