Weaving

A Little Bit of Weaving

Last night, I made a batch of bread and butter pickles, cooked dinner, and then decided it was time to crash on the couch for the evening. I pulled out the little coaster loom which already had a chunk of work done on it and began to weave. By 8:30, I was ready to hem stitch the last row and cut it off the loom.

I’ve been surprised by how many coasters I’ve been able to get out of the mini skein that came with the coaster loom. I have made three now and there is enough left to do a fourth coaster. That will be nice to have as a set when they are all done. I can see this little loom being used as a scrap buster for small amounts of leftover yarns after projects.

Valentino inspected my work. He seemed to be ok with it, although wasn’t sure why I was insisting on putting the coaster on him for a photo. His fur created a good background to be able to show some of the weaving texture!

Stay crafty!
