Did you all know that the Tour-de-France is going on right now? I like to watch the race whenever I can, and several years back, someone on Ravelry came up with Tour-de-Fleece where spinners would work on challenging projects and take rest days alongside the cyclists. Well, I was on vacation when the Tour started, so I am not really participating in the fleece portion of the challenge, so instead, I’m proposing the Tour-de-Crafts for those who would like to follow along with the Tour when it’s going on.

So, first up on the Tour-de-Crafts is a finished sock. I started the sock while on the plane going to Montana. I didn’t work on it while we were there, and then I started working on it again when we got back on the plane to head home. I nearly finished the sock during the six hours of flying and waiting in the airport and ended up finishing it up yesterday evening.

I actually like how the color on these socks is looking. I cast on the second sock last night and then made a little bit of progress.

While watching the Tour-de-France, I also started working on a new diamond painting. I found this kit when looking for trays to be able to put dinner on while traveling in the car (Brian likes to have a tray when we grab fast food when traveling in the car). I saw the little camper design on this one and decided I needed to pick it up despite my trying to not buy anything new this year. I decided to go ahead and get it and I started working on it.

Stay tuned for the parade of crafts during the Tour-de-Crafts!
Stay crafty!
