Diamond Painting-

Caltha Begins

This weekend also saw the beginning of a new sweater project for me. I decided to use the Berocco Mercado yarn that is in my stash and make a new pullover sweater using the Caltha pattern that can be found for free on Ravelry.

I was able to get through the first couple of increase sections, and now I’m on the third increase section and third butterfly pattern repeat. If you have never tried the butterfly texture pattern, it’s actually a lot of fun. It looks far more complicated than it actually is and creates a very nice pattern.

I’m a little concerned about the pattern not showing up as well given how dark the yarn is, but honestly, I was going to run into that issue no matter what pattern I used given the color. So, going with a texture will work better than a complicated cable that you would never be able to actually see.

I also finished the second diamond painting zipper pouch on Sunday. Now my evening project will more than likely be Caltha for a while!

Stay crafty!
