Diamond Painting

Doctors and Dotting

Yesterday Brian and I had a day of doctor appointments. He had the longer one since he had his annual cardiopulmonary function test. This test measures how his lungs and heart are functioning under the stress of exercise. He gets hooked up to a bunch of contraptions and then they have him work out. Last time, he ran on the treadmill, but the treadmill was down for maintenance, so they got him on the bike.

A man in a medical setting is exercising on a stationary bike while wearing a mask for monitoring. He has sensors attached to his chest and an arm cuff for blood pressure measurement. A healthcare professional observes him closely.

He has to be monitored, especially on this test, due to a blocked artery. His body created something called a collateral bypass which means that it formed its own bypass around the blockage. He doesn’t get quite as much oxygen as he would if the artery was fully clear, but given how risky it would be to do surgery on it, it’s functioning well enough to keep him going and able to run.

I had a mammogram, which obviously I’m not going to post pictures about. Instead, I’ll show you the diamond painting portion that was completed last night.

I’m still enjoying how this is turning out.

I had a rare Delilah lap visit last night. She normally does not like to cuddle since she is afraid of life in general, so this was a nice surprise.

Stay crafty!
