A New Travel Sock

I finished up my pair of travel socks on Friday before heading out for the RV trip, but completely forgot to take a picture of the finished socks. I also wore them this weekend while out camping, so I’ll grab a picture of the sunny day socks once they are washed for the first time.

When we got to the RV park and it started raining in the evening, I wound up a new skein of sock yarn and cast on for the next pair of travel socks. Since we were going to be by the water, I decided I wanted something blue for the socks, so I found an old hank of Yarn Bee sparkle sock yarn in my stash and went with that.

Unfortunately, the yarn had some breaks in it, so it’s in three smaller balls instead of one normal ball of yarn. I didn’t see any signs of bug activity, so I’m just hoping that this was a whoops scenario and not a sign of something infiltrating my stash. I battled carpet beetles in our last house, so I immediately had flashbacks to that horror. So far, I’m not seeing any kind of indication in my stash that there is a problem, but I’ll be monitoring that closely.

Knitting in the hammock was super relaxing. I’ll definitely be doing more of that in the future!

Stay crafty!
