I decided it was time to bring out the rigid heddle loom after a long absence. I forgot how long it can take to warp the loom, but after getting it all set up, I was able to get a little bit of weaving done on a simple scarf.
I am using some yarn that I picked up last year. It’s 100% merino wool and I chose two complimentary shades of blues so that it gives it the illusion of some texture in the weave. Weaving goes pretty fast once you have the loom warped, so assuming I can work on this some more this weekend, I may have a scarf finished up. I really just wanted to create a small project to get myself back in the habit of weaving, so I think this simple scarf should do the trick.
