One of the crafty things that happened this weekend was that I managed to finish the Tokyo cross stitch project on Sunday evening while unwinding from the busy weekend. I’m really happy with how it turned out.
This was a very simple cross stitch pattern kit that I picked up at Michael’s in the clearance aisle one day when Brian and I were there looking for something else. The original price was $15.99, but on clearance it was $2.99, so I definitely was not going to pass that up.
I think this is going to be a Christmas present for one of our nieces who is big into all things Japan and anime. I just have to hunt for the right frame now since I really don’t like hanging pieces in the hoop even though that is quite popular now. I much prefer a frame.
On Sunday, we had a family reunion on Brian’s side of the family, so we got together with them and enjoyed the visits with people we only see about once a year. Heck, we even had a decent picture of us taken, which can be a challenge since Brian is usually the one taking all the pictures at these things!
I also finished up another project over the weekend, but that is a post for tomorrow!
