Herbs-

Random Musings

A Late Post

It’s a late post today since I took the time to rest this morning and get some extra sleep. I left work early yesterday because I was feeling exceptionally tired and could feel my sinuses clogging up. I’ve been around too many sick people recently to take a chance on pushing through something, so I did what I knew I should do.

A close-up of a white cup with a floral design, containing a herbal tea mixture that appears light brown with visible herbs floating on the surface.

I went home and drank thyme and dandelion tea (1/2 tsp thyme leaves, 1 tsp dandelion leaves). While this sounds like an awful concoction, it really tastes quite similar to a more herby green tear. Thyme has antibacterial and antiviral properties when consumed as a tea and dandelion leaf has a diuretic effect, so it can help to flush the bad stuff out. I drank my tea while Regina scowled over my shoulder at the green drink.

I then went to nap and Valentino watched me, wondering why I was home early, but not upset by it since he had his favorite lap there to lay on. I was sound asleep other than the 5 times I think I had to get up to pee throughout the night.

I woke up this morning feeling better, but still a little tired, so I gave myself an extra couple of hours of rest. I woke up with a monster cold sore, so I know I was trying to brew something. I was glad I listened to my body for once instead of trying to push through like I normally tend to do.
